Kane’s pedigree is a blend of modern sport horse performance and elite thoroughbred bloodlines, designed to meet the demands of modern 3 day eventing. Kane was awarded Gold Premium at the 2022 British Breeding foal gradings where the judges particularly liked his “supple ground covering paces”. He was ranked the 18th Best Eventing Youngstock in the UK from foals to 3 year olds.

Kane’s pedigree includes international competition horses from both Eventing and Dressage along with world famous Sprinters. His sire Future Gravitas is a life approved AES stallion with success at 2* Eventing and BD Advanced Medium and was No1 ranked sire of Eventing young stock at the BEF futurity 2015. He was also selected by Mary King for her Rolex CCI5* winner King’s Temptress. Kane is paternal brother to 4* venter Valeroyal Secret Man, 3* venter Arden Juju and a 1.30m show jumper.

Kane’s grand sire Grafenstolz, who is former WBFSH No.1 Ranked Sire of Eventers, evented to 3* level with Olympic Champion Michael Jung, and was both the 6 year old Bundeschampion in Eventing, and the 6 year old Young Event Horse World Champion at Le Lion d’Angers. He is the only horse in history to qualify for all 3 of the German Federal Championships (Bundeschampionats) in Eventing, Dressage and Showjumping. He consistently sires International Event horses, most notably; Lordships Graffalo who has won both Burghley and Badminton twice with Ros Canter and Absolut Gold who won Team Bronze at the Tokyo Olympics. Grafenstolz introduces versatility, uphill movement and athleticism into the pedigree, particularly suited for jumping and dressage.

Kane’s grand dam, SHBGB Elite graded mare Juswith Genoa, has also produced the Olympic Silver medallist, World Equestrian Games Gold medallist and multiple 4* Winner Winsome Adante, as well as, 2* Eventer & Young Event Horse World Championships Qualifier Future Genie, 2006 BEF UK Champion Event Foal Future Glamour, Elite BEF Event Foal Future Gold Digger, and Elite BEF Event Foal & Premium ZfDP Foal Future Gravitie who is now a 3* eventer.

His dam Foxy Lady is sired by Foxwedge, a Group 1 winning sprinter and Champion sire who brings speed and power. Kane’s dam side brings a host of phenomenal names such as Danzig, Storm Cat, Fastnet Rock and Mr Prospector. Mr Prospector is legendary in eventing circles for adding gallop, he produces horses with long, efficient strides needed for long format xc. Grand Lodge and Fastnet Rock are known for their physical strength and bone translating to raw power and scope in sport horse breeding. Grand Lodge, was officially rated the best two year old in Europe during 1993. He had a very successful stud career at the Coolmore Stud and sired winners of over 600 races including Sinndar who won The Derby, Irish Derby Stakes and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in the same year and Queen’s Logic who is notable for winning the title of European Champion Two Year Old Filly of 2001 before retiring undefeated.

The presence of Fastnet Rock, Mr Prospector and Lyphard in Kane’s maternal line provides fast reflexes while the Trakehner influence of Grafenstolz provides structural integrity. Kane represents a classic eventing pedigree, the elite Thoroughbred blood provides speed required at 4* and 5* level, while the Trakehner influence ensures he has the brain and shape to be competitive from dressage day.
